Aceclofenac Stella 100mg (5 blisters x 10 tablets/box)

Indications

The relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to any of the active substance or excipients.

Patients with history of or active or suspected peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding

Patients with moderate to severe renal impairment.

Compositon/Ingredients

Dosage and administration

• The lowest effective daily dose for the shortest duration possible.
• Adults: 200 mg daily divided two 100 mg doses, in the morning and evening.
• Hepatic insufficiency: an initial daily dose of 100 mg.

Precaution

• Gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcerative perforation, haematemesis, melaena, hypersensitivity reactions can occur at any time during treatment.
• Close medical surveillance is also imperative in patients suffering from severe impairment of hepatic function, mild renal or cardiac impairment and the elderly.
• Aceclofenac should be given with care to patients with a history of heart failure, hypertension, bronchial asthma.
• Aceclofenac may impair fertility and is not recommended in women trying to conceive.
• Aceclofenac cause an increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, including myocardial infarction and stroke, either of which can be fatal.
• Patients should be aware of how they react to drug before driving or operating machinery.
