Lorastad Sp. (60ml)

Indications

The symptomatic relief of allergic conditions including rhinitis and chronic urticaria.

Contraindications

• Patients who have shown hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to any component of the drug.
• Children under 2 years old.

Compositon/Ingredients

Dosage and administration

Recommended dosage:

• Adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 ml once daily.
• Children 2 – 5 years: 5 ml daily; 6 – 12 years: 10 ml daily.

In patients with hepatic or renal impairment (creatinine clearance < 30 ml/minute):

• Adults and children aged 6 years and over: Initial oral dose of 10 ml on alternate days.
• Children aged 2 years to less than 6 years: 5 ml on alternate days.

Precaution

• Hepatic impairment.
• There is risk of dry mouth, especially in elderly, with increased risk of caries when using Lorastad Sp.. Careful mouth and dental hygiene is therefore needed.
• Use Lorastad Sp. only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to fetus with the lowest effective dose for shortest time. A decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug.
• Patients should be informed that some people experience drowsiness, which may affect their ability to drive or use machines. Patients should be aware of how they react to drug before driving or operating machinery.

Storage

Store at temperature below 30°C, protect from light.
