Indications

Treatment of severe hypomagnesemia, isolated or associated with other mineral deficiencies.

When calcium deficiency is associated, it is recommended to supply magnesium before calcium.

Treatment of functional manifestations in anxiety crisis with hyperventilation (spasmophilia).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of drug.

Severe renal function impairment (CC below 30 ml/min).

Compositon/Ingredients

Magnesi Lactat Dihydrat 470mg, Vitamin B6 5mg

Dosage and administration

Severe hypomagnesemia:

• Adults: 6 tablets per day.
• Children: 2 – 6 tablets per day on age.

Spasmophilia:

• Adults: 4 tablets per day.

Precaution

Oral magnesium salts should be used cautiously in patient with renal impairment (may cause high levels of magnesium, reduction of magnesium supplement dosage may be necessary).

When used in pregnant women, fetal heart rate should be monitored and use within 2 hours of delivery should be avoided.

It considers the use of magnesium and pyridoxine to be usually compatible with breast feeding.

Patients should be aware of how they react to drug before driving or operating machinery.
